Sonic Case Studies: Steel Industry [Removal of Residuals on Plates]

Using it before the final drying provided results that exceeded expectations in terms of drying effectiveness.

Sonic Corporation's 96” (2.44m) air knife operates with the Sonic 100 (15 horsepower motor). Long steel plates flow under the air knife at a speed of 1.22m/min to 3.05m/min. The widths of these steel plates range from 48” to 96” (1.22m to 2.44m). Typically, this line runs for several days in two shifts and then stops for several days. Essentially, it operates continuously without stopping during the given shifts. This system provides unparalleled satisfaction to customers and has demonstrated exceptional drying effectiveness when used before final drying to blow away a significant amount of residual water. [Content] [Issues] ○ After blasting the material, it needs to be wiped and all remaining sand particles must be completely blown away. ○ In special cases, residual shot may occur after passing through the cleaning brush. ○ Residual shot material sticks to large electromagnetic surfaces, making transportation hazardous. Sonic Water Drainage Drying Case Study Collection: Removal of Residual Water After Pallet Cleaning

I have made it possible to repeatedly position the air knife.

We proposed 12 Sonic 70 blowers with 7.5 horsepower motors, enclosures, Sonic HEPA filters, and two custom 13" Sonic XE air knives. The performance of the air knives delivered at the beginning of this system perfectly matched the blow level requested by the customer. The results of the impurity contamination tests also confirmed that Sonic's HEPA filters maintained the requested 0.3μ. Additionally, to operate most effectively while keeping the noise level below 80dB, the angle and distance of the air knives are very important, so we manufactured custom Sonic air knives that fit the existing air knife enclosures, allowing for repeated positioning of the air knives. [Content] [Issues] - Compressed air with HEPA filters - The factory was using more compressed air for automatic devices on the production line and other equipment on a daily basis - Due to the increased demand for compressed air, there was a need to add another air compressor to avoid pressure drops For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

Sonic Water Drainage Drying Case Collection - Propane Gas Cylinder

Tilt the two air knives slightly and present a blowing method that focuses on the torso and upper part.

The air knife's gap or slot can be adjusted in length to allow for a wider gap. This means that the air knife concentrated on the body can maintain a standard gap while separately adjusting the knife's gap at the top and bottom to hit the handle and the lower ring. This method not only ensures that the air effectively hits the body of the canister but also reduces the required power consumption. SONIC has also suggested further cost reductions by using ABS piping instead of plated steel pipes to lower prices. [Content] [Issues] ○ Yankee Gas faced the problem of propane gas canisters not being sufficiently dry before going to the painting process while changing their solvent-based painting system. ○ Proper drying of the canisters is essential for effective painting. ○ The drying method they were using involved compressed air, which was ineffective and did not adequately remove moisture for painting. ○ High humidity means that no matter how much compressed air is applied, moisture remains on the canisters. Must-read before selection! 'Trivia about Air Knives'

Are you having trouble with the essential "water droplet removal and drying process" after cleaning? We will provide you with a booklet that includes case studies on solving post-cleaning issues across various industries!

Are you having trouble with the blow process using air? There is always a cleaning process for parts (such as components) and products (like PET bottles and retort pouches). Following that process, there is always a drying process. I have heard that this drying is an eternal theme. Shall we finally resolve this eternal theme? Sonic's blowers and air knives efficiently and economically solve problems with high air volume and high-speed air! ▼ A task that required 0.4 MPa of pressure can now be achieved with just 29 kPa! ▼ When comparing the air volume of a compressor and a Sonic blower, to achieve an air volume of 7 m³/min, a compressor requires 62.5 horsepower. In contrast, the Sonic blower can achieve this with only 4 horsepower. The difference compared to compressors and domestic blowers is significant! The "Air Knife Trivia" section includes numerous case studies for problem-solving. 【Examples of cases】 ■ Automotive industry case studies ■ Food and beverage industry case studies ■ Pharmaceutical industry case studies ■ Steel industry case studies, etc. *For more details, please request materials or view the PDF data from the download.

[Sonic] Water Drainage Drying Case Studies: Issues with Bottle Labeling

There was no need for additional construction, and it fit into the existing production line.

Sonic Corporation decided to operate the Sonic150 with 25 horsepower and two air knives, and to circulate air to raise the temperature coming from the air knives. The concept behind Sonic Corporation's revolutionary VT (patent pending) design is to utilize the pressure heat from the blower by partially circulating air. The exit temperature from the air knife will be approximately 45°C to 50°C. This method does not require an external thermal system. The air knife is installed about 10mm away from the bottle, allowing the bottle to pass through at a wind speed of approximately 9,300m/min. The high-speed air and heated exit temperature melt the ice and turn the remaining moisture into mist. As a result, the bottles can be completely dried. [Content] [Issues] ○ Moisture and cold air leave water droplets on the glass, resulting in the reformation of droplets before labeling. ○ Labels cannot be applied until the bottles are dried. ○ The injection and labeling of bottles can only occur after the empty bottles are stacked in a warmed warehouse and heated. [Third Edition] Things You Want to Read Before Selection! "Trivia about Air Knives"

Third installment! For those of you who have been unable to solve problems until now... Here are numerous case studies for problem-solving!

Are there any issues with the food processing drying process or the blowing off of water droplets from cans/bottles? The Sonic Air Knife System, with its high airflow and high-speed air, efficiently and economically solves such problems! Tasks that required a pressure of 0.4 MPa can now be achieved with just 15-20 kPa! When comparing the airflow of a compressor and a sonic blower, obtaining an airflow of 7 m³/min requires 60 HP (53 kW) with a compressor. In contrast, a sonic blower achieves this with only 5 HP (3.7 kW). The difference is significant compared to compressors and domestic blowers! For those who have not been able to resolve issues until now… we have numerous case studies for problem-solving! 【Case Studies】 - Food/Beverage Industry - Automotive Industry - Pharmaceutical Industry - Steel Industry, etc. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us. *We also have a 'Case Study Collection' that we send out regularly. If you have any requests, please feel free to contact our staff.
